Etedal is the most wonderful host I've had in my travels. Her home is perched on a beautiful hill in Fuhais and located on a serene property (where she gardens her olives, apricot, and more -- much of which I got to try in breakfasts). It's was also a great cultural experience living with her and meeting her family, enjoying lunch together, chatting about life in Jordan, so on and so forth. She's will be my first choice if I ever go back to Jordan (and I hope I do soon).

We slept here with 3 persons. Etedal is a friendly and hospitable host. The apartment was great and the beds were good. Etedal made dinner and breakfast for us and it was very delicious. She gave us also good tips for our travel in Jordan. We recommend this stay for everyone who is travelling near Amman. Staying by Etedal makes your trip just a bit more special. Etedal is definitely a 5 star host! Etedal and her family are very friendly and nice. They will help you with anything that you might need. The room is very spacious and it has a lot of privacy. The property is amazing- swimming pool and all kinds of plants and trees. There is a very nice view of the sunset over the hills. Etedal is also a great cook- a lot of the ingredients she uses are from her own plants and trees. It is a little bit outside of Amman, but that isn’t a problem. Etedal knows a taxi driver Mohammed- he is very good. He is dependable and safe. He can take you anywhere in Amman and in Jordan. His prices are much lower than other drivers or the expensive online tours. He is a very nice person and his English is very good. He can take you anywhere you want and will let you spend as much time as you want in a place (not rushed like some tour groups). I am probably forgetting some things, but I hope that my feelings are clear- I had an amazing time in Jordan and I highly recommend that you stay with Etedal

I had a wonderful week staying with Etedal in her lovely peaceful home just outside Fuheis. I arranged the Homestay as I wanted to improve my Arabic. Before I arrived, I was a little nervous about staying with someone I had never met, but Etedal immediately made me feel welcome and at home. ??? ????? ???? ??????? ?? ?????? ?? ??????. ?????? ????? ? ????? ? ????? ???? ?? ???. ?? ???? ??? ????. ?? ?????? ???? Etedal is a very kind person and introduced me to her family and friends and I spoke lots of Arabic. She is a brilliant cook and uses many local ingredients in her cooking including olive oil from her own olive trees. Amman is easily accessible from Fuheis and Etedal can introduce you to a friendly, local taxi driver, Mohamed. I decided not to go into Amman while I was staying with Etedal, as I was enjoying the peace and quiet and the local area. I highly recommend this Homestay.

Super person, lovely food. Also teaches Arabic. I had the flat for 44 days and really enjoyed my stay. Etedal cooks breakfast and lunch and goes out of her way to ensure that you get fed if your times vary with hers. Feyhuis is fun and the trip by taxi is about 40mins to central Amman. The flat could sleep four and has its own cooking facilities. Remember that you are in Jordan so it is a hot country and not as wealthy as the west so do not compare! The Jordanians are wonderfully friendly and the country is far safer than the European countries, in my opinion. Go,as it has a lot to offer. M.Ellis

Etedal was the perfect host and made us feel like part of the family. She is also a great cook and treated us with delicious meals and breakfasts every day. The place is in a gorgeous and peaceful location a bit outside town sorrounded by beautiful olive groves. The view over the mountains and the sunsets are amazing!

Etedals Empfang hätte nicht herzlicher sein können. Das Haus liegt ruhig in einem Vorort von Amman mit Blick über die Stadt und ist leicht zu finden. Etedal kocht kostlich und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Vielen Dank für den tollen Aufenthalt und wir 5 konnen den Aufenthalt nur empfehlen.

I have just stayed with Etedal in Amman for 4 days and it was everything I dreamed of. Etedal welcomed me to her home as one of her family and I felt at ease from the beginning. Her food is wonderful and she told me so much about her delicious cooking. She uses so much homegrown food in her cooking. The house situation is idyllic - on the hillside with fantastic views, amongst olive trees, lemons and vines and I could wander freely in her grounds. The room is really an apartment and so spacious, clean and well maintained. I went in January and it was great then, in the Summer it must be heavenly. We will probably stay friends for a long time as Etedal is a lovely person, easy to be and very sensitive to your needs. I would thoroughly recommend this home stay to anyone. You can get into Amman quite easily by taxi but there is also so much to enjoy and explore on your doorstep that you really don't want to leave!

Etedal and her family is so kind and lovely. All of the family members are fluent in English, while they are cooperative in teaching Jordanian colloquial Arabic. The family is so open to foreigners like me that I feel as if I am a member of the family now. Also, Etedal always cook Jordanian traditional foods which are so delicious. Though al-Fuheis is a little far from the center of Amman, you can get buses about every 10 minutes in front of the house(about 40 minutes to city enter by bus). Since 95 percent of people in al-Fuheis are Christians, you can easily get a rare experience to live with local Jordaninans, even if you are male.
